Last night I took the kids to see Santa Cow at Chick-fil-A. When we first got there and Luke saw the Elf Cow, he was scared to death. He wouldn't let go of me and even started shaking. For some reason when Santa Cow came out he was fine. I was suprised that he let me take his picture with them. We didn't get any smiles but I figured at least he wasn't screaming or crying.
They also had a balloon artist there and Luke got a puppy dog. I have to keep it out of his reach because he keeps trying to pull its tongue out :)

This morning Sarah was actually willing to share her toys with Luke so they sat in the kitchen and he played with her new cash register.

He kept trying to use the little key to unlock the drawer. He had to lay down on his stomach to do it.

After we got home from playing at a friend's house it was time for lunch. Luke decided to share his sandwich with his new Elmo toy. Luke was trying on one of Sarah's hat. I asked him to smile for the camera and this was the face I got.

He didn't like the fact that Sarah was wearing his Spiderman hat (even though he was wearing her purple flower hat).
                                                                 Handsome boy!

Smile :)

Yesterday was a preschool day for Sarah. We have to leave the house by 8:50 to get her there in time. Most mornings that is not an issue but yesterday Luke decided to sleep until 8:20. I knew there was no way we'd be able to leave the house without him wanting some breakfast so thankfully he just wanted a "bar". He really likes the chocolate chip granola bars that I had been buying for Sarah. He saw me get the camera out and was smiling for me. If he had been able to reach me I'm sure he would have been an inch from the lens. Apparently in order to smile for a picture you must scrunch your face up and get really, really close to the camera :)

He was saying "hi" and waving in this picture.

I can't believe how big he is getting. He has started saying so many more words and communicating much better. He is still a pro at signing "more" but if you aren't quick enough he will ask for it AND sign it repeatedly. The boy knows what he wants. He know can say more, milk, Sarah, momma, dadda, papa, moo, meow, drink, door, ball, bar, car, truck, elmo, water, george (Curious George), tree, uh-oh, and parts of many more words. He is quite the little kidder. When my mom asks him to say "grandma" he will ALWAYS say "papa" and then grin. He has said "grandma" once and will not say it again. He is very animated and onery...he definitely keeps me on my toes.

Christmas in Chillicothe

Here is some video of Luke playing with his cousin, Braden, when we went to Chillicothe last weekend. They had a lot of fun running and playing.

My Wild Man

I've decided I need to keep better track of all of the cute (and wild) things Luke does. He is changing so quickly and I know I will forget all of these stories if I don't force myself to keep up with the blog through pictures and stories.

We went to Chillicothe on Bill's 40th birthday (December 3). Because the kids get up so early we were there by 10:00 which meant the kids got to play with Papa Bill and Grandma Carolyn all by themselves. Luke had a blast playing with all of the little toys that they keep around. He liked to pretend that he was cooking something and then he would bring the plate over and give us a bite.

After a while, he found some of the pillows that they had in the livingroom and decided it was time to lay down. It's hard work being a toddler :)

The next day we had a birthday party at our house for Bill. While everyone sat around visiting Luke was enjoying playing with his new toy that his Uncle Ashton and Aunt Tammie bought him.

Birthday cake is very yummy (and messy).
